If you’re even thinking about having flower crowns at your wedding, you simply must! They are such a beautiful addition to a wedding, in terms of décor and colour and using natural flowers and foliage. They can also be included using artificial flowers, too, so whatever your preference or your budget, you’ll be able to find a crown that suits.
Flower crowns are perfect for the bohemian wedding. They give such a sense of ‘at one’ with your surroundings; so naturally beautifully. If you are having a predominately outdoor wedding then they’ll look so at home. They’re also a lovely way of including colour into your wedding party in a different way. A lot of brides opt to have their bridesmaids wearing a flower crown, and these look particularly attractive against a nude colour palette of creams and beiges.
Your flower girls will also look super cute in a flower crown. Why not opt for an artificial crown for the little ones so you’ll know they’ll stand the test of time?! There are lots of places to look for artificial crowns. One of my favourite places is Etsy. Here, you can either buy ‘off the shelf’ if you like, or have one custom made.
If you’re having a DIY wedding, flower crowns are a good challenge! They’re not the easiest to create, however if you practice with some artificial flowers beforehand, you’ll feel more comfortable about handling the real flowers on the day. If you’re creating a real DIY flower crown, then this will have to be done the morning of the wedding to help the flowers stay as hydrated as possible.
