There’s nothing worse than having your heart set on some flowers and then finding out that they are out of season. Our advice would be to always be season-lead with your flowers as these blooms are easier to source at more competitive prices.

So, for weddings that fall into Spring / Summer, take a look at our top 8 flowers for this coming season:

1. Peonies

Peonies are just the flower to have at your wedding if you can. They’re so opulent and there are so many beautiful varieties to match in with your colour scheme and general theme.

2. Garden Roses

There seems to be an unlimited amount of roses in shapes, colours and styles, so there’s always what you’d like available. By combining different size heads of roses (the smaller the cheaper) you can easily give the look of variety when they’re all from the same flower family.

3. Gypsophila

Baby’s-breath, as it is otherwise known, is just perfect for a beach wedding. It is inexpensive and oh so versatile. You can use it in bouquets, buttonholes, table decorations, headdresses, favours, the lot! It can be displayed on its own for sweet simplicity or with various other flowers.

4. Sunflowers

Sunflowers are such a statement flower. They are bold and beautiful and eye catching. Very few are needed to create effect and they are great for accessorising, such as with table plans.

5. Eucalyptus

Not a flower, but our one chosen piece of foliage because of the time of year and how great it looks in bouquets and ensembles. The colour of eucalyptus is so gentle that it makes a perfect subtle backdrop to whatever you need it for.

6. Hydrangeas

Hydrangea heads are so beautiful and a combination of creams with blues make for a perfect summer coastal wedding. Like the sunflowers, not many are needed to give that lovely fluffy effect.

7. Dahlias

These pretty flowers are quite a thirsty flower so using them in table decorations when they can sit in water is ideal.

8. Poppies

Poppies make for such gorgeous wedding flowers as their shape really stands out. They can come in quite big sizes too so won’t get dwarfed if alongside larger blooms. The pastel colours are particularly to die for – make sure to check these out!
