Jam jars are just so versatile and they’re being used more and more in wedding decoration. It’s easy to see why; they don’t have to cost a penny (a real tick for those dreaded wedding budgets!) and there’s a whole host of ways they can be personalised and decorated to fit in with your wedding style and needs.

Flowers

Wedding flowers in jam jars look so cute – we love them! If you’re having long tables, you can have a line of jam jars all the way down the middle or if you opt for round tables a cluster of different sized jars in the middle of the table looks divine. Add some lace to the jars to soften them or pop some pebbles into the bottom so they pull together a costal look. There really are so many options!

Storage

There are a lot of items at a wedding that you might need to group together or store. For example, a great use of jam jars that keeps cropping up at the moment is for storing sparklers that your guests will use at the end of the night. By adding little personalised tags around the neck of the jars you can really pull the look together.

Favours

Jam jar favours are one of our absolute favourites. They’re such a fun thing to create yourself and there is so much inspiration out there if you’re wondering what to fill your jars with. Our favourites are jams and spreads, sweets, dried herbs and chutneys, and of course, there are many more.

Tea lights

Tea lights in jam jars look amazing. You have complete control of the decoration of the jar so it can be painted to match your theme, stencilled or spray painted with delicate designs or left bare with simple ribbon tied around the neck. Add different sized candles to different sized jars to make a gorgeous mix 'n' match look.

Drinks

If you want a relaxed vibe at your wedding day them instead of having champagne at the reception, why not offer up a punch or two and serve them in jam jars? You can make your own labels and add fun items like straws and big Kilner jar dispensers. On the other hand, if you have a lot of children at your wedding, having all the soft drinks in jam jars would be really fun and you can still keep the bubbles for the grownups!
