Whatever your wedding style, you can never turn down a bit of glitter! Weddings must be one of the only occasions where you can incorporate some gorgeous glitter – at varying amounts – and it just slots right in and looks f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s.
As with all wedding décor, there are varying ways in which you can include glitter into your big day:
Fabric
Glitter fabric wows at weddings. It can be used for bridesmaid dresses, decoration draping, bouquet stem wrapping, backdrops for photographs and much, much more. My personal favourite has to be using glitter fabric for dressing up your venue. It is such an occasion fabric and makes any venue feel super special. It's also a cost effective choice; always start by browsing eBay for good deals!
DIY Glitter
By DIY glitter I really mean glitter than you buy loose and then use to decorate things with. One of the easiest yet most effective DIY décor pieces to create are table numbers – if you’re having table numbers of course – from papier-mâché numbers dipped in glitter. These numbers are easy to come by and are only around £5 each. Buy a bag of the colour glitter you are after and then glue the numbers all over and roll in the glitter. Voila!
Glitter Card
Glitter card is a fun way of incorporating a bit of sparkle into your big day. If you are keen on this theme, then you might want to start at invitation time to cement all things glitter into your wedding day. Invitations are a great way of setting the scene a bit so you can do this with glitter too. Then, to follow, can be place names, menu cards, table plan and anything else that you might use a paper base for.
